An anime titled Kuroko no Basket will premiere on Netflix December 9, the network announced.
The series will be the second anime that Netflix has licensed, following the recent series The Royal Tenenbaums.
The company is currently in negotiations with Hulu over the rights to the first series.
The show will be streamed in more than 150 countries worldwide, with the most recent one available in the United States.
The series is the latest addition to the streaming service’s catalog.
The company previously licensed several anime series from manga creator Kazutaka Kodaka, including Gurren Lagann, The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya,and Akame ga Kill!.
