A Japanese girl has cried at a school in Tokyo after receiving a letter with her name on it, and the teacher apparently thought she was a cat.
The girl is known as Akiko and her father is the editor of a popular Japanese magazine.
Akiko had received a letter from her school asking her to change her name to something less offensive, and she accepted.
The name on the letter was changed to “Kuroko,” but the boy she received the letter from was not impressed and immediately started to cry.
The boy then took a picture of Akiko crying and posted it to Facebook, causing Akiko’s father to find out about the incident and post it to his blog, which was viewed over 3.5 million times as of Wednesday.
Akiko’s parents have taken the picture down and apologized to the boy for what happened.
Akito has since been contacted by the boy’s parents, and they have promised to apologize to Akiko.
Akato’s father has also apologized, saying he has been very angry with his daughter.
He posted this on his blog: “I am sorry that I did not give you the opportunity to learn your name in a respectful manner.
This is not something that I want to be seen as.
I don’t want to hurt you, so I am ashamed and I am very sorry.
I do not know how I am going to live my life without you, Akiko, and I sincerely apologize.”
A representative for Akiko has not responded to a request for comment.
